Position Summary

The Sales Representative role is a phone-based outbound sales role that focuses on providing small and medium businesses across Australia with a simple and cost-effective solution to managing their freight.

Working in a team environment alongside other Sales Representatives, the individual will generate their own leads to ensure all potential customers fit the Big Post customer profile. They will then engage these potential customers to establish and then maintain relationships that generate revenue and growth for Big Post.

The individual will be expected to demonstrate a strong-work ethic, a positive attitude and must be an effective communicator to ensure the set sales targets and KPI’s are achieved or exceeded. We will provide you with all of the necessary training and coaching to support your development within our growing Sales Team.

Main Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Generate sales leads by researching potential customers online
  • Make 30-40 outbound calls a day to acquire new customers
  • Onboard new customers and maintain relationships with existing customers
  • Achieve and exceed weekly and annual sales targets
  • Attend industry trade events and make customer visits when required
  • Work autonomously within a very supportive team environment and contribute to team activities and initiatives
  • Assist with customer service duties during peak times
  • Attend weekly sales meetings and workshops
  • Generate and act on new ideas that add value to the business
  • Work closely with other business departments to ensure continued business success
